I saw a few of you discussing WoW before the switch so I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread here. Share you experinces, screenshots and stories from your new home, the World of Warcraft.

Currently with my Horde charcater (Warlock, Undead) I have just turned level 23, and my skills are skinning and tailoring and my Alliance character (Warrior, Human) is level 5.

Ram is pretty cheap these days. Could pick some up for 50 quid or under.

You can contact each other easily and meet up even easier. Many cities and towns have good travel links ^^

Yep, as long as you're on the same server you can always meet.. however it can take hours if we're far away from each other, and some may have a higher level character than others so they can access places others can't.

Why when i open my quest log are some of the titles of my quests in color? they all started as being yellow but recently i've got black, orange and red aswell.

Taurenator and I were in Desolace and heard that Tarren Mill was under attack. Screw it, we thought, despite being miles from Tarren Mill, we wanted a piece of the action. Hearthstoned to crossroads, flew to Ogrimmar, zeppelin to Undercity, flew to Sepulcher, ran to Tarren Mill. A long journey, but we wanted some "honourable kills" - I only had 1 at the time.

So I joined the raid and /pvp'd myself up. Then it started - laaaaaag. Taurenator had vanished and I couldn't move, ever so often he's whisper me saying how awesome it was and the most fun he'd had on WoW. The most I could do was set my pet, Igor, to aggressive and hope he could whip some serious ass. It was a lost cause though. I just died, gladly, as there was no lag at the cemetry. Sure enough, I ran back into battle, but it was like my laptop just froze, piece of crap that it is (although it used to run fine and dandy), so I just quit.

No raiding for me when I'm on my laptop, that's for damn sure. :vanadium:

After 20 mins or so, I quit with 4 honourable kills. Yes, 3 in 20 damn minutes in the heart of a raid, described as "fucking best battle ever" by a fellow Tauren. Sucks balls, man.

According to Reid an honourable kill is when you go PVP and kill and alliance player with a higher level than yourself. Dishonourable being when they're lower. Sounds good enough for me.

Press O and click the friends tab at the bottom (if not already selected) and click add friend. Add Cherno, Taurenator and Pestilence. :D

I got bored of playiong as hunter,since I never played that style of character in other games I had wanted to test it.

I've now changed to an undead Mage,So far its gone really well and I got to 10 in 4hours.I'm finding the mage much more fun and it sutis my style of play a lot more

Cloth's the worst, plate's the best.

They are:
cloth
leather
mail
plate

in that order, as far as I know.

Some classes can't wear certain types. For example, I'm a ahunter and can't wear mail until lvl 40 and can never wear plate.

Maian is level 18 now,half way to 19.Eventually able to make linen bags which are getting me 2silver each at the shop,and i spend 10silver on 60linen+30corse thread.That gets me 10bags which is 20silver,so I double what I spent on stuff.I moved from undead lands to barrens to do the quests there.

I joined a big enough guild I suppose,theres 9 level 60s in it.Some of them don't speak very good english but they're very nice.I've spent most of my questing doing with the same guy and hes got to 16 in 3days,and I've got to 18(Nearly 19).

I'm enjoying playing a mage a lot more,its much much more fun! love the style of play.My aim is to get to 20 tomorrow,maybe 21

Mages are great, they're very very powerful. Grouped with a 54 and 53 mage today and they were wiping things out before I could even touch them.

Noggenfogger Elixir. :D

You can become a skeleton, really small or feel light (were you can jump of the highest cliff and just float to the ground). They are random when you drink it so you don't know what you're getting although 75% of the time you become a skeleton. When you go to Gadgetzan, there is a quest for Noggenfogger. It has you going around Tanaris and The Hinterlands. After you have done all that, you are entitled to buy it from him.

Skeleton lasts for 10 minutes, small lasts for 10 minutes and feeling light lasts for 2 minutes. It's 35 silver for 20 of them, a bargain. :D

It's only 10 silver to start one, then 9 people must "back you up" or something and sign some charter. Even if there's not 9 of us, some randomers would sign for us.

Indeed yea, with a warrior it takes longer.. but I can also take more damage than because i can wear better armor.

Maybe because the areas are smaller, but all the enemies are the same difficulty.
