I'm currently playing as Bristol City in the first season and my current number 1 is David James and his contract is up at the end of the season, he wanted an extra 10k a week onto his 15k p/w contract so he can get stuffed, so i've targeted either Loach or Fielding as his long term replacement, i'm bidding for both of them as we speak but will need to pick one. Stats wise they are nearly identical, and they are the same age, has anyone had any experience with either?

Loach:

Scott Loach is on the bench for West Brom who are in the PL (2014) on my game and Franky Fielding is Derby's first choice stopper (Championship)

How are they looking stats wise?

Not fantastic.

Not fantastic.

May consider going for someone else then, as I had 4m bids accepted for both but their demands were very unreasonable, if I can't get a much better, cheaper option if I get promoted i'll head back to one of these two.

If anyone does have any screenies of either in the future, that would be much appreciated.

Quite tempted to Fielding as 3rd choice.

Out of the two Fielding looks the better option.. tough choice though.

Can you get Smithies? If so he'll probably be a better long term option.

I wouldn't pay four million for either of them myself.

You could also take a look at Joe Lewis or Jason Steele

Went for neither in the end, couldn't afford them on my wage budget at current. My scouts say they are both definite purchases, but if I find better in the summer, and for a reasonable price i'll get someone else. I would go for someone like Smithies but whoever I buy is going right in at number 1 as David James will be leaving on a free, and my backup isn't ready for first team Premiership football just yet. My preference was to try and get a young English goalie rather than go abroad, and I know Fielding and Loach are both well regarded by their clubs in real life.
