Default XML Parsing Error

Whenever i go to load up FM i keep getting the same message appear every time, this message is 'Not well formed (invalid token) at line 1 of default xml'

I have read through the forum and some people have reccomended in other threads by other people to look for the launch option and enter something to do with that, however their is no launch option in my steam.

Could anyone help as i'm missing FM too much

"Launch" option should be there if you go to Steam > Library > Football Manager 2010

Anyway, I get these xml parsing errors when my computer crashes mid-match, but I just click ok and the game continues as normal. Is this blocking you from playing full-stop?

Default Fixing "XML parsing error" error.

When trying to fix the XML parsing error (token on line 1 is pish bla bla bla), it wont let me click in the target field in the properties. its just greyed out? I am the administrator if that makes any difference?

Any ideas?

I merged your thread with the existing one on parsing errors.

I notice that in the thread posted by plastic manc, that it says to click on launch options, however when i right click on FM10 in my library it doesn't come up with an option to click on launch options how can i get around this?

That was under the old Steam layout. Now you have to open Steam, go to your library, on the left handside there should be a list of the games. Right click Football Manager 2010, go to properties and there is a "launch options" button in there.
