Default Flares at Football Matches

why are fans allowed to bring them and light them in the stadium? its dangerous to everyone in that seating area and some daft cunt could injure someone very badly

and that twat who got caught throwing one today should be locked up and banned from football matches

Its Commen in Italian Football, they take bottle caps off bottles to avoid people throwing them at players, and yet they allow them to bring flares in, weird.

There was one fired out of a flare gun at a the Wednesday fans when we beat them a couple of years ago. The person who got hit was hurt pretty badly but at the time it was hillarious.

Tis true. I went to see Hellas Verona last year and they had 2 sets of fireman with hoses on the track around the pitch. As soon as a flare was thrown they would rush and put it out. Quite funny.

Although there wasn't any at the Inter game i saw. Whether its a more common in lower leagues im not sure.

He should just have let it burn in the stands, theres no problems with flares in the stands imo, no need to throw it on pitch tho...

Footballs sanatised to death at the moment, get chucked out for standing, there half way there to banning singing . Tis shite going to football really, only thing that keeps people going is the buzz of seeing the shirts.

People who are against flares are probably middle class pussys who're against smacking children and shooting burgalars and other stuff like that. Footy needs good atmospheres not rows of people eating prawn sandwhiches. Flares should be allowed.

Here what I Propose:

1. Allow Flares
2. Ban Suits
3. Allow Safe Standing Areas.

Less gayness and hearts and stuff, unless you are a bum boy in which case you shouldn't be on a football forum. If you want to appreciate me do it via points and repuatation.

Agreed, and there should also be an unwritten rule that you can attack Robbie Savage, Craig Bellamy and James McFAGen without fear of punishment.
