Not a bad start, not a bad team either. I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with a side like the Yellow Submarine.

Villarreal C.F. - 2004/05 Season

Javier Lopez Vallejo
- Very good substitue for Reina, he'll stay in the team, probably.

**************************

Jose Manuel Reina
- One of the most brilliant and promising goalkeepers in Spain. Without a doubt, our first man for the goal.

***Defense***

DF C - Juan Manuel Pena
- Although it's a old player (31), it is a very good substitute for the defense. More than ten season of experience in La Liga.

****************************

DF C - Gonzalo Rodriguez
- Very young player from Argentina, but very promising. He'll be one of the principal defenders.

****************************

DF D - Armando Sa
- Another young player, not too technical but very powerful. He'll compete with Javi Venta for the ride side position.

****************************

DF D - Javi Venta
- In theory, it's gonna be the first option in the right side, but we'll see, him and Armando are very similar...

****************************

DF C - Quique Alvarez
- One of the captains in the team. If nobody comes to reinforce the defense, he'll be one of the bosses.

****************************

DF/CD I - Rodolfo Martin Arruabarrena.
- One of the main players in the team and in Argentina. One of the stars in Villarreal, and the player with more games in Villarreal history.

****************************

DF/CD I - Roger Garcia
- Can be use as defender or in the left attack side, if nobody makes a good offer, he'll stay.

****************************

***Midfielders***

DF/CD C - Cesar Arzo
- One of the youngest players. Can play either in the defense or like a defensive midfielder.

******************************

CDC - Marcos Senna
- Brazilian midfielder, it'll be hard for him to be in the team, because doesn't have the communitarian passport.

******************************

CDC - Sebastian Battaglia
- Although it's a very good player, it looks like he wants to go back to Argentina. If we receive a good offer, he'll leave.

******************************

CDC - Verza
- Another promising player. He and Arzo will be the defensive midfielder substitutes.

******************************

MP DI - Santi Cazorla
- Substitute that can play in both sides of the attack midfield. Good promising player.

******************************

MP C - Juan Roman Riquelme
- The star of the team. Although it's here from Barcelona (loaned), he'll be one of the most important players this season.

******************************

MP/DL DC - Jose Mari
- After being in teams like Sevilla, Atletico de Madrid and Milan, the midfielder will be the boss in the right side of the attack.

******************************

MP/DL IC - Guayre Betancourt
- Young player that will be in the left side . Velocity and a very good shot.

***Forwards***

DL C - Sonny Anderson
- It's pretty old, but still having good skills to keep scoring in Spain.

******************************

DL C - Diego Forlan
- One of the most dangerous strikers in La Liga. Star in Villarreal and in Uruguay, hopefully will score a lot this season.

******************************

DL C - Xisco Nadal
- One of the more promising spaniard strikers of the moment. He will rotate with Sonny in the attack.

******************************

- This will be the starting team, at least now. We'll see if reinforcements will come. At least we need a forward...

Great Signs

- Villarreal signs Hernan Crespo, Argentinian forward from Chelsea, paying 3.9 M Euros. The Spaniard team also signs Portuguese Dani, that was without a team. Dani will be the substitute for Riquelme.

- In the latest hours, another sing it's been accorded. Scott Parker, midfielder also from Chelsea, will play in Villarreal the next 5 seasons. Villarreal has paid almost 4.5 M Euros for Parker.

- On the other hand, the Argentinian Sebastian Battaglia leaves the team to join...Chelsea. The English club will pay 3.5 Millions for the defensive midfielder.

- Probably there will be another sign, since the Cristian Lee is looking for a defender for the middle of the defense, and the club stills having almost 3 Millions Euros for transfers.

Dani

Scott Parker

Hernan Crespo

- Villarreal coach Cristian Lee signs the last of the reinforcements in theory, the Nigerian defender Sunday Oliseh. Oliseh will be in the center of the defense with Gonzalo Rodriguez.

Sunday Oliseh

**************************

So then, this will be the starting team for this season:

In the other hand, we played pretty good against the mos powerful team, so we're happy. 9th position in the table.
