Default tight marking?

this tactical seems too simple, and hence ominous. Ofcourse u want all ur players to mark tight, its like asking having "do u want ur players to mark well?". i set team to tight marking. So is there a disadvantage to tight marking? more cards? players in less space when possession is regained?

i dont get it

say if your leftback is tight marking the opposing winger, and he runs innward towards goal, ans hey, who's this? Look, it's unmarked billy the fullback, who runs into the holw that your fullback made cause the winger ran around with him. Just one example

thats a bad example, thats more like the dissadvantage of "man marking" rather than tight marking.

Theres 2 possible dangers with tight marking.

1) Give away more fouls
2) If you're too tight, you could get turned easily..
