Default Disable prefered moves ?

Hi,

Did one of you successfully told a player to drop out one of his prefered move ?

I tried many times on different types of players, and ther answer is always the same: he refuses to drop his stupid habit (I call stupid the fact that a pure ST likes moving into channels, or a MDC with 8 at long shots likes shooting from distance...).

I'm fed up with briliant players who waste their potential with stupid moves !

This is very annoying, even more so when you know that if they stop it it would be beneficial, but they say 'He does not think it would be beneficial".

I wonder if it has something to do with the amount of respect they have for you as a manager?

Even when I start a game with international reputation, and even after winning trophies, they continue to ignore my suggestions... Is this option totally useless, in fact ?

Oh I know this isn't a major problem, but it's very frustrating sometimes.

I've never had anyone get rid of a move, granted most of them have trying to get my DCs to stop wanting to get forward.

I have noticed that it seems the younger players are more willing to train a preferred move, so maybe it would be the same to get them to no longer do a move

I really don't know what you guys are talking about, I've never had the problem in any of my games. I've successfully retrained several players to get rid of preferred moves that aren't appropriate for their position or skill level.

Granted, they've all been under the age of 20. I find that anything over that age makes it much harder to teach or remove preferred moves.

I agree with Toaster never had an issue with younger players and it is natuarally harder the older they get as it just become spart of their gaem so to speak.

I have had more luck with under 20's but was able to get Modric to channel runs down left when he was 26 so I think it all comes down to how much a player respects you.

In my case Modric was listed as one of my fav personnel and vice versa as well as being Captain so im sure that had a bearing.

Maybe, but it's more likely that it's a combination of the player's age and their hidden adaptability stat, visible through the data editor.
