Default Newgens are not good enough to replace real players.

After doing a dozen generations of an all regen game and using the formula that Scout Genie uses to determine it's potential rating the average number of players above an 80% rating was 203 players. The result is similar if you wind the clock 30 years in a real player game. The starting number of real players with an average rating of 80% and higher is 319 on patch 9.3.

Those of you familiar with Scout Genie know that they use a unique formula to determine the ability of a player. While it isn't a perfect formula 9 times out of 10 it's on target with it's predictions.

Everyone knows that they see the rare regen that is really amazing. At the same time the mean number of good regens is actually quite low. When you have a striker with 20 finish/dribbling/technique who also has a 5 acceleration pace and stam it makes that character near useless to a top-team side.

So I think it's clear the real issue that is going on here is the misplacement of attributes for the role the character has been rolled into.

Though, it seems an easy fix. SI simply should tweek it's maximum-minimum placement of points based potential and roll. There should be as many good regens as there are real players.

What do you guys think?

Yeah it is a problem.

I don't think SI have a perfect formula, thats why they haven't bothered fixing the issue. I mean surely they simulate what players will look like 10 years into the future.Sad really when you pay so much money for a game which always has bugs when its released.
