Default XML Parsing Error / The saved game could not be loaded

I know this same problem has been posted a few times now but I'm at my wits end with this and tried everything.

On my old laptop my FM11 save has become corrupt. Initially it wouldn't load due to an XML parsing error.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, Disk defrag and formatting my computer but to no avail.

After trying again to load the game I'm getting ' the saved game could not be loaded ' ?

I installed the game by Steam. I've just bought a new laptop installed Steam and the game or any of the other saves are not on my Steam account????

I appreciate this may be more than 1 problem but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Judging from your post, you have tried to delete the roaming data? As that sometimes sticks on, even after a re-install.

Do your problems only apply to 1 savegame?

Sorry but could you explain what roaming data is???

On my old laptop the other saves work just not my most recent although my steam account still won't recognise any fm11 saves.

The roaming data, as you asked in your reply can something cause a bit of a mess in FM. So what you do is delete it. For deleting your roaming data, look at this post:
http://www.thedugout.tv/community/sh...49&postcount=2

If that doesn't work you can try going back all the way to default with the drastic method:

As a last solution I can suggest you sent it to sigames. Check http://community.sigames.com as I believe they have a thread in there that allows you to upload your game to their FTP, they look at it and get back to you.

I am not completely sure what you mean, but if you are looking for the saves that you played on the old laptop, you won't find them. Steam doesn't upload your savegames for FM2011. They reside on your computer in your documents folder under Football Manager 2011 > Games.
